This school year 50 seniors (graduating spring 2027) from Philadelphia schools will be selected for the 2026-27 Bloomberg Arts Internship: School Year. During this 35-week paid internship, participants will work at Philadelphia’s leading arts organizations, attend rigorous professional development workshops and tour our region’s most important cultural sites.
Worksites may be paired with new interns if indicated in the application and are encouraged to think deeply about staff capacity for the entire nine month period of the BAI:SY program.
Worksites will be required to attend a monthly virtual check in with fellow supervisors to check in, ask questions and, engage with each other as another from of networking.
Worksites may also be contacted for individual interviews and/or worksite visits throughout the school year.
Interns work up to 10 hours per week and are paid a highly competitive wage for their time--that includes (re)orientation, worksite hours and professional development sessions.
Organizations selected to host interns will have three business days to confirm participation. After that time, we will place the interns at another organization.
The BAI:SY program is meant to deepen interns to a world that surrounds and keeps art going, not explicitly the making of art for themselves.
