2026 Summer Arts Internship Application
Ends on
This summer, 100 rising seniors (graduating spring 2027) from Philadelphia schools will be selected for the 2026 Arts Internship. During this eight-week paid internship, participants will work at Philadelphia’s leading arts organizations, attend rigorous professional development workshops and tour our region’s most important cultural sites. This is an amazing opportunity to develop vital professional skills while exploring Philadelphia’s rich arts and culture community.
Interns work up to 35 hours per week and are paid a highly competitive wage for their time--that includes orientations, worksite hours, cultural site visits and professional development sessions.
The internship provides the following benefits:
- SEPTA prepaid Weekly Transpass or Trailpass for in-person internships or activities
- Free, behind-the-scenes access to cultural institutions
-Interns will be paid a livable wage for all worksite hours, workshops attended, and cultural immersion events
- Free meals at all professional development and cultural immersion activities
The Arts Internship work days will be from JUNE 22 to AUGUST 14, 2026. Interns are expected to be able to attend all regular workdays, cultural site visits, and professional development sessions. There will be 1 mandatory Job Fair event on May 16, 2024, and 2 mandatory program orientation days on June 20 and June 21, 2026.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with interviews to be held in March and April. The deadline to submit your application is February 28, 2026.
IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT AN ART STUDIO INTERNSHIP AND STUDENTS WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED TO WORK WITH ART DIRECTLY OR IN CONVENTIONAL WAYS ON A DAILY BASIS OR THROUGH THE DURATION OF THE INTERNSHIP. This program is meant to introduce interns to a world that surrounds and keeps art going not explicitly the making of art for themselves.
